We are passionate about health and the environment, since there is no water like Saka Water, we wanted to make a bottle like no other, so we took the time to design and construct a unique environmentally conscious, lighter, easy to crush bottle using a lot less plastic than any other similar sized bottle on the market, a first in Australia and possibly the world.
A lighter-weight bottle also means lighter delivery loads and most importantly, less impact on the environment and less space when disposed of.
A first in Australia in packaging, our whole packaging process has been designed with the environment in mind and everything possible is made to reduce resources.
As for our bottle, no wonder it won a design award in Italy in 2006,
Our Saka Water bottle is...
* Made with a lot less plastic than similar bottles. Designed to be Easily Crushed.
* 100% recyclable.
* Most Importantly, our bottles are BPA-FREE, Plasticizers-Free and Pthalates-Free*
At Saka, we think change is good, but change for the sake of the environment is even better.
We invite you to discover and enjoy the difference.
After you enjoy a Saka water, you can easily crush the collapsible bottle to reduce it's size.
Another way to help the environment with recycling.
We are strong on recycling, so in order to get this unique water to our customers, everything possible to reduce resource is utilised. Saka is continually implementing new improvements to reduce the input on the environment.

* Phthalates (pronounced THA-lates) are a class of chemicals that include three subsets, each with different properties. PET or polyethylene terephthalate belongs to one of these phthalate subsets, but not the one most commonly associated with the term.
Orthophthalate is the phthalate subset most commonly referenced and discussed in popular literature and on internet sites; it has been the subject of some negative press. Often used to make various plastics more flexible, this type of phthalate is also called a plasticizer.
SAKA BOTTLES do not contain plasticizers or orthophthalates. Plasticizers are never substituted for terephthalates used in the manufacturer of PET, nor are the two ever mixed.
PET packaging is selected by companies for a wide variety of product applications because it is safe, strong, shatter-proof, and recyclable.
Saka Water is proud to confirm that none of the plastics we use in our PET bottles contain Bisphenol A. Saka Water packaging is 100% safe and 100% BPA-free.
Bisphenol A is a chemical that is commonly used in hard plastics (like those used in big 15 litre water cooler containers).
According to Environmental Defence, “Bisphenol A is a hormone disruptor. Studies have linked low-dose BPA exposure with such effects as: permanent changes to genital tract; increase prostate weight; decline in testosterone; breast cells predisposed to cancer; prostate cells more sensitive to hormones and cancer; and hyperactivity.”
If you are worried about drinking Bisphenol A, we recommend that you abstain from drinking water from any large hard plastic water containers like those on office or home water coolers. Also make sure that any hard portable plastic drink bottles do not contain BPA (most do). Try also to cut down on canned food as the lining of most cans contain Bisphenol A too.
You can be rest assured that Saka Water is 100% free of Bisphenol A. We only use safe packaging that is better for your health.
