Many waters are drawn from surface springs, rivers or even glaciers exposed to the atmosphere, but Saka Water goes deeper. Starting out thousands of years ago as rain and snow, our water traveled through thousands of kilometres of rock and stone to end up in our protected artesian aquifer deep underground. The mineral deposits in the aquifer over time and pressure have infused the water with its naturally high alkaline properties. Saka water comes rushing forth into our state of the art bottling plant where it's bottled and ready for you to enjoy. When you open a bottle of Saka Natural Alkaline Mineral Water it is the first time the water has seen the light of day in thousands of years.

Surface waters cannot be controlled for man-made pollution and may contain anything at anytime. It is simply not possible to test for every known pollutant on the surface of the planet.
Repeated, rigorous, real-time testing also guarantees Saka is brought to you pure and Alkaline at a pH of 8.22.
Where does Saka Water come from?
Saka Water comes from the springs in Hendek, Sakarya, located in the pristine Koroglu Mountain. It is the biggest source of natural water in the Marmara Region. It is far from settlement areas, and is protected against various polluters with the facilities built at the outlet, trapping the water in our bottles and bringing them to you to enjoy everyday with confidence in purity, smooth taste, mineral content, source and pH.
How is springs analysis applied?
Springs Inspection: It is inspected weekly by chemical and micro-biologic analysis.
End product inspection: The end product is inspected at each shift by physical, sensory, chemical and micro-biologic controls.
Line Control: All surfaces of the PET filling line in contact with water, bottle and cap are controlled microbiology.
How is Saka Water inspected?
The water is checked approximately 150 times a week internally and because Saka is the highest selling and exported water in Turkey, Government officials test the water regularly to ensure quality is maintained.
In addition to all this scrutiny, Saka has contracted SGS Fresenius Institute to regularly perform independent external and thorough tests, performed in Germany at the SGS Fresenius Institute Head Office.
How is water filled in PET bottles ?
PET filling is carried out in an isolated and closed area called the white room. Special filters prevent microorganisms entering the white room.
The PET chips supplied to the factory in granules are melted by a machine at 280° C, and then turned into preform in molds. PET bottle production line heats preforms at 90° C, and then air is supplied to the molds at 40 bar. The produced bottles are sequentially fed to the filling line. Thus, a healthy and hygienic filling is ensured at the PET bottle production.
These bottles get filled, capped and labelled all at the source, the whole process is done under ultra-hygienic conditions by fully automated machines, the water is untouched from source to bottle, leaving it as nature intended it.
The whole process is run under stringent standards and regulations from raw materials to finished product.
Saka's labs are staffed by many specialists, including microbiologists, Ph D Chemists and additional Chemists.

Salt/Sodium
If you want to reduce your salt / sodium intake, you should look at the water you drink. Some waters have high levels of salt / sodium. Some bottled water brands can contain high levels of salt. Some carbonated Mineral or soda waters can contain even more.
Saka Water, on the other hand, has a very low 5.6mg/litre. This makes it one of the lowest on the market and the healthier option for people on low-sodium diets. Talk to your docotr or dietician for more info.
